Contact all the major companies and production facilities in your area. Ask whether it would donate surplus furniture that is ready to go. You have your own truck to pick up products. This saves on storage costs. You can not sell furniture for a long time and able to take a tax deduction too.
I recently closed a plant in the Chicago area, and we could not find where to give our office furniture. Much of it was removed.
